UK Home Office’s anti-immigrant propaganda campaign still going swimmingly
So, not content with their hugely successful Racist Van from last week, yesterday the UK Home Office took their campaign against people who look foreign to Twitter, with a series of tweets like this:
14 #immigrationoffenders arrested at Walthamstow following Home Office operations http://t.co/bRWNrGYMXd
— The Home Office (@ukhomeoffice) August 1, 2013
Notice the lack of the word “suspected” there. Don’t worry, it’s not like that’s possible contempt of court or anything!
Any defence lawyer for those arrested by @ukhomeoffice as #immigrationoffenders should point out prejudice and possible contempt of court.

They also tweeted several pictures of brown-skinned people being led away in handcuffs and being put into the back of vans (we’re not linking to those, because they’re bad).
Judging by their Twitter account, the @ukhomeoffice appears to be a cross between the Gestapo and Dog The Bounty Hunter.

Anyway, Twitter was so delighted that the Home Office were doing such a brave job of protecting us True Brits from the invading hordes that they all joined in.
RT @ukhomeoffice Man who looked a bit brownish and was wearing scuffed shoes now in custody.

RT @ukhomeoffice We’re not racist but we just saw a man looking at the World Foods section in Tesco’s so we put him in the back of the van

RT @ukhomeoffice Just seen someone try to start a conversation on the tube. They’re nicked.

RT @ukhomeoffice: YES! Arrests made at tanning salon. An illegal who worked there, plus everyone inside cos they were brown.
— Jack Seale (@jackseale) August 1, 2013
RT @ukhomeoffice: A total of 139 spiders had their legs pulled off as part of a sustained campaign in our office today.
— Andy Dawson (@profanityswan) August 1, 2013
RT @ukhomeoffice 45 non-natives have been captured in Delta Sector. All citizens report to Square C for death ceremony. God save the Queen.

RT @ukhomeoffice Good morning London. This is the Voice of Fate.
— Michael Noble (@Contact_Light) August 1, 2013
RT @ukhomeoffice War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.

The replies they got on Twitter were also overwhelmingly positive:
Great PR for the @ukhomeoffice, these immigrant-catching tweets. pic.twitter.com/oCwpSFQ4Nc
